Initial Contact
I initiate contacts with potential clients by email and/or sending an information packet through the mail. I then follow up with a phone call.
Discussing the Project
When a client has expressed interest in working with me on a specific project, we discuss the scope of the project over the phone. Once I have a thorough understanding of what is involved, I send a proposal for the project by email.
Investment and Getting Started with a Questionnaire
Once the client and I agree on the investment and the scope of the project, and I have authorization to proceed, I send a contract. After that is signed, I ask for a payment of 50% upfront. Once I have received it, I start work on the project.
Research
My next step is to thoroughly research the industry and target audience to get a good idea on how best to market the product or service.
Collaboration
Once I have the “big idea” on how to approach the project, I contact the client by email with the idea and an outline of the project to get his or her feedback before proceeding further.
Review of First Draft
After I have created the first draft of the marketing material, I email it to the client to obtain his or her feedback. Based on that, I revise the content if necessary.
Additional Reviews
Once I have what I consider the final content, I submit it to the client for further review. If necessary, I will revise the piece twice based on the client’s comments.
Final Approval
Once the client has given final approval, I ask for payment of the remaining 50% within 30 days.
Follow Up
After the marketing material has been utilized, I will follow up after a short period of time to see how successful it was.
